Community Services Group (CSG) is recruiting for a Registered Nurse (RN), who is interested in assisting adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and Mental Health (MH) Disorders, for our Community Based / Mobile Behavioral Intervention Program in Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry Counties.

The Mobile MH/IDD Behavioral Intervention Services Registered Nurse (RN) is part of a treatment team that is crucial in developing and implementing appropriate treatment plans and methodologies for individuals with IDD and MH Disorders.  The RN will take the lead in initiating and maintaining contact with community medical providers. As part of an interdisciplinary team, the RN will identify medical issues which contribute to current challenges, actively assess individuals with consistent check in visits and gauge mental and physical status throughout the length of service. This position will monitor behavioral, psychotherapeutic, and psychopharmacological interventions used by the team and provide the team with resources designed to enhance their knowledge and abilities.  

This is a Full-Time (40 hrs/wk) position that offers the opportunity to work outside of a traditional office setting and be supported in obtaining CEUs.  It also offers a complete medical insurance and benefits package for those who qualify.   


  • Monday to Friday hours.
  • Primarily during normal business hours.
  • Must be available during business hours to attend meetings, trainings, etc.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to meet individual's and program's needs.

Travel Reimbursement is provided as this position requires travel throughout Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry Counties. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with individuals, families, groups, and significant others to assess emotional, social and physical health needs to provide input into the development of appropriate treatment / behavior plans.
  • Creating and facilitating training presentations on mental health, medical illness and genetic disorders that affect individuals' behavior, such as Fragile X, Williams Syndrome, Schizoaffective Disorder, Diabetes, etc.
  • Completes bio-psycho-social assessments and initial intensity of needs list.
  • Completes biographical timeline.
  • Communicates with individual's psychiatrist and medical teams.
  • Conducts comprehensive medication reviews and lifetime medical reviews.
  • Conducts incident reviews and debriefing.
  • Creates personal medicine plans with the individuals.
  • Work as part of a treatment team in developing, implementing, and evaluating behavioral interventions.
  • Collecting and analyzing psychiatric symptom data.
  • Attending psychiatric, neurological, and medical appointments for individuals on caseload.
  • Creating psychiatric PRN protocols.
  • Assisting Behavioral Intervention Clinician with multi-modal assessments, intake and discharges processes.

To be considered you must have the following qualifications:

  • Must have a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to meet individual's and program's needs.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend trainings and meetings.
  • Must have the ability to obtain clearances as defined by regulations.
