Community Services Group (CSG) is recruiting for a Mental Health Professional (MHP) for our Juvenile Firesetter Assessment Consultation Treatment Services (JFACTS) program.  This position will also work as a Behavioral Specialist Consultant / Mobile Therapist (BSC/MT) for our Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services. 

This full-time position (40 hrs/wk) will be based out of our Harrisburg office with Monday to Friday hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.  Hours will vary based on the needs of the individuals and program.  It will cover cases in Cumberland, Dauphin, Lebanon, Lancaster and Perry counties. 

Approximately 25 hours per week will be spent in the BSC/MT role and the remaining 15 hours will be spent in the MHP role.  Hours will vary based on case availability at each program.  There will be an opportunity to go full-time in either role based on need in the future. 

A complete Medical Insurance and Benefits Package is available for those who qualify!  Travel reimbursement provided for work related travel in personal vehicle.

The Behavioral Specialist Consultant / Mobile Therapist role designs and directs the implementation of behavioral intervention plans which are individualized to each child or adolescent and to family needs. The BSC/MT provides child centered and family based treatment according to Child Adolescent Service System Program (CASSP) principles.

The Mental Health Professional role provides treatment services to families including therapy, skills training, and education designed to enable families to care for their child with a mental health diagnosis.  The MHP completes comprehensive assessments including a comprehensive Fire Risk Assessment to assess motivation for fire setting.  This role works closely with Fire Science and Safety Consultant (FSSC) and other community team members to assure clear communication and team consistency.

Both roles will work with families and children in various community settings including home, community and school.  They will also collaborate with other involved professions and agencies in order to provide unified services and continuity of care to child and family.


  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in a (CASSP) program.
  • Eligibility for BSL license is preferred by not required. 
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to meet individual's and program's needs.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend   trainings and meetings. 
  • Must have the ability to obtain clearances as defined by regulations.

Training for this position will include Juvenile Firesetter Intervention Specialist (JFIS) Level 1 certification.
