Community Services Group (CSG) is recruiting for a Peer Recovery Facilitator for out Outpatient Treatment Service's Decision Support Center (DSC) in Williamsport, PA.  

We are looking for a caring and compassionate person to join our Mental Health (MH) Treatment Services for Adults, Children and Youth Team and enjoy a rewarding career helping to improve the lives of others at one of the largest human service providers in PA.

This is a PRN Flexible position.  Our office hours are Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM.  To be considered you must be able to work flexible hours as needed to meet the individual's and the program's needs.  There will also be the potential to pick up addition hours in our Mill Hall, PA office as needed in the future.

At CSG, a Peer Recovery Facilitator is one who has progressed in their own recovery and promotes self-determination, personal responsibility, empowerment inherent in self-directed recovery, and assists individuals with mental illness in the individual's recovery process.  This position provides direct service to individuals participating in the Decision Support Center (DSC) within our outpatient treatment services.  This position is designed to encourage a recovery-focused and shared decision making process for those in outpatient treatment.

Core Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides orientation to individuals utilizing the DSC.
  • Teach and assist individuals in developing Power Statements, personal medicine goals, utilizing decision aid worksheets, and completing the Common Ground report.
  • Collaborates with other treatment providers to facilitate individuals' goal attainment.
  • Identifies individuals' abilities, strengths, and assets (both internal and external) and assists them to recognize these strengths and use them to achieve their goals.
  • Documents program information and other contacts.
  • Provides information regarding observation of and interactions with individuals.
  • Collaborates and cooperates with involved agencies, family members, and other supports.
    Participates in meetings and provides relevant information as directed.
  • Provides technical support to individuals and staff regarding DSC software, Decision Aids, and other DSC services.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education, Credentials, and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, prefer minimum of an Associate's degree.
  • Maintained within the last three (3) years, at least 12 months of successful full or part time paid or voluntary work experience or one year post-secondary education experience totaling 24 credit hours.
  • Be a self-identified individual who has received or is receiving mental health treatment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Must have the ability to obtain clearances as defined by regulations.
