Join Community Services Group's (CSG) Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services Team as a Performance and Development Coordinator (PDC) / Behavioral Specialist Consultant/Mobile Therapist (BSC/MT) and enjoy a rewarding career working in the community helping to improve the lives of children and adolescents with a mental health (MH) or autism (ASD) diagnosis.

The PDC / BSC/MT is a full-time position (40 hrs/wk) with Monday to Friday hours generally from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with some evenings required. It will split its time between both positions.  It will be based out of our Harrisburg Office and cover Dauphin and surrounding counties.  This position offers a complete Medical Insurance and Benefits Package for those who qualify! 

At CSG, the PDC provides oversight of children's services staff performance and development of skills in the various children's services programs.  The BSC/MT designs and directs the implementation of behavioral intervention plans which are individualized to each child or adolescent and to family needs. The BSC/MT provides child centered and family based treatment according to Child Adolescent Service System Program (CASSP) principles. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Performance and Development Coordinator:

  • Coordinates and participate in children's program specific orientations for new Children's Services Staff.
  • Manages individual and group meetings with Children's Services Staff.
  • Conducts performance management plans.
  • Responsible for oversight of staff performance including corrective action.
  • Develops and coordinates training for Children's Service Staff.
  • Oversees staff professional development.
  • Maintains confidentiality of employee information.
  • Makes final decision on hiring children's program staff.

Behavioral Specialist Consultant / Mobile Therapist (BSC/MT):

  • Provides expertise in behavioral management protocols.
  • Collaborates with other treatment team members to design and direct the implementation a behavior modification intervention plan which is individualized to each child or adolescent and to the family needs.
  • Identifies behavioral goals and intervention techniques, and recommends least restrictive behavioral change methods.
  • Develops treatment plan, services and outcome-based short term goals for identified child/adolescent.
  • Provides assessments of the strength and therapeutic needs of assigned children and their families.
  • Attends and participates in Inter-Agency Service Planning Team (ISPT) meetings.
  • Participates in Inter-Agency Service Planning Team (ISPT) meetings.
  • Gathers written information on the antecedents, behaviors, and consequences to determine the need for behavioral intervention, if the current behavior plan is working, and to identify any problems with the current behavior plan.
  • Collaborates with other involved professions and agencies in order to provide unified services and continuity of care to child and family.
  • Develops discharge planning criteria.
  • Works with families to determine an assessment of family need and appropriate treatment modalities.
  • Provides clinical services to child/adolescent and family.
  • Provides written documentation and clinical records of therapeutic process and progress.
  • Submits applicable billing related documentation to facilitate payment of services.
  • Participates in company orientation, in-service training, and Office of Mental Health training.
  • Ensures the confidentiality of program participants, records, and information is maintained at all times.
  • Maintains effective Multi-Disciplinary Team interactions.
  • Acts as a mandated reporter under the Pennsylvania Child Protect Service Law.
  • Travels to site visits and meetings.
  • Provides coverage in emergency situations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Master's degree or above from an accredited college or university with clinical training.
  • Must have 1 year work experience working directly with children with mental illness and/or intellectual and developmental disability.
  • 1 year of management/supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to meet individual's and program's needs.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend trainings or meetings.
  • Must have the ability to obtain clearances as defined by regulations.
  • Provides back-up on call as needed.
