Advanced Metrics (AMS), an affiliate of Community Services Group (CSG), was founded by a group of leading healthcare providers and engineers to develop software with the goal of helping practitioners improve outcomes and data quality with evidence based knowledge and skills.

General Summary:

The Senior Developer & Team Leader will work closely with the Technical Project Manager and the Chief Operations Officer. The Senior Developer & Team Leader will support development efforts, provide tactical leadership and mentoring on a day-to-day basis for the Advanced Metrics development team. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coding and Programming

  • Supports development effort on Advanced Metrics projects and technology initiatives as determined by senior leadership.
  • Coordinate with Technical Project Manager on programming tasks by Sprint
  • Commit to completion of JIRA (project task) cards by the close of each Sprint
  • At times, work with AMS team to advise and/or develop technical specifications and design software architecture.

Team Leader 

  • Supports daily Scrum meeting.
  • Helps manage, support, Advanced Metrics development team.
  • Supports Innovation Lead in leading development effort on Advanced Metrics projects and technology initiatives.
  • Coordinates with operations team to lead and support Quality Assurance efforts, implementations, and deployments.
  • Participates in strategic planning meetings; helps to support Technical Project Manager during Sprint planning meetings
  • Performs Code Reviews
  • Coordinates with Quality Assurance Engineer  

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Expert understand of the Microsoft Technology stack including WebForms, MVC, MVVC, .net Core, and other key technology components.
  • Expert understanding and knowledge of Entity Framework and other ORM frameworks such as Dapper.
  • Expert understanding of T-SQL and SQL features like stored procedures, functions, indexes, and constraints.
  • Deep understanding of Agile development concepts and processes, including Scrum or Kanban, and their implementation in small teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret data, information and documents; analyze and solve non-routine and complex problems
  • Ability to use math and mathematical reasoning; observe and interpret situations
  • Ability to learn and apply new information or skills rapidly and without much supervision or oversight.
  • Perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks
  • Ability to work under intensive deadlines with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to interact with elected and appointed officials, staff, customers, the public and others encountered in the course of work.
  • Ability to rapidly learn new concepts and understand new processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill.
  • Excellent personal time management skills.
  • Enthusiastic and energetic approach to your job and a willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with HIPAA and operational data security a plus.

Minimum Education, Credentials and Experience:

  • A Bachelor of Art degree with a preferred but not required Computer Science degree
  • 8-9 years' experience developing applications on the Microsoft Technology stack including ASP.Net, Winforms and Services with 1-2 years' experience developing mobile applications. 
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with MVC/Web Forms, Web API and SQL Server (including but not limited to C#, HTML, JavaScript, T-SQL, etc.). 

Special Requirements:

  • Required to complete a skills assessment test as part of the interview process.
  • The ability to obtain clearances as defined by regulations.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend trainings and meetings. Other special requirements will be determined based on the needs of the position.
