Community Services Group (CSG) is recruiting for a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Associate for our Adult Mental Health (MH) Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program in State College, PA.

This is a PRN summer position that will fill in hours as needed from June 3, 2019 to August 30, 2019.  Available hours will be Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.    

The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Associate is responsible for assisting and supporting individuals in achieving their identified level of recovery.  This is done through individual and group interaction.  This position will plan, develop, and facilitate group activities. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and/or develops, reviews, and ensures implementation of individual support plans.
  • Assesses, evaluates, and documents individual performance.
  • Assists individuals to identify their abilities, strengths, and assets and helps them to recognize these strengths and use them to achieve their goals.
  • Communicates relevant information regarding the individual to the rehabilitation team, family and appropriate agencies.
  • Implements rehabilitation team decisions in all program settings and contributes to the team process.
  • Implements all aspects of program and assignments given by Program Director or designee.
  • Facilitates group process and activity within the program.
  • Provides coverage in emergency situations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must have one of the following:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Development & Family Studies, Rehabilitation and Human Services, Sociology, or other human services related degree from an accredited college or university; OR
  • An Associate's Degree or 60 plus credit hours in Psychology, Social Work, Human Development & Family Studies, Rehabilitation and Human Services, Sociology, or other human services related degree from an accredited college or university and one-year work experience in mental health direct service.

Must have all of the following:

  • The ability to accompany individuals into the community and provide support and assistance in interactions in the community while maintaining sensitivity to the rights and dignity of the individual.
  • The ability to obtain clearances as defined by regulations.
